大部分的百货公司一般的开放时间由星期一至六早上九时半至晚上七时，星期日休息。
中小型的商店在午膳时间亦会暂停营业（12：00--14：00）。
百货公司大减价通常在十二月中、一月及六至七月的最后一个星期。
